week 21

Welcome back to VoiceHERs Friday update! This is where the VoiceHER team keeps you updated on the events we have had in the app, along with any new exciting features we have made to make the app as enjoyable as possible for you. This week has been great, with events everyday, along with live podcasts. On Thursday we came with a new update of the app. Some new features that come with this new update include a social feed with the ability to share voice recordings, where you can share your thoughts, reflections, and/or audio content with the community, the ability to add these voice recordings to your profile, and see the number of conversations you participated in on your profile .

For those of you who are new to VoiceHER, we are an audio-based social network that brings diverse women together for meaningful and supportive conversations. If you have any questions about how the app works, our community, our vision, and so on, our founders Sanna Dahlin and Viktoria Elman regularly host a Welcome Chat in the app to answer all of your questions. This week, Viktoria and Sanna held their welcome chats on Monday at 3pm and on Wednesday at 3pm. Viktoria and Sanna are usually in the app, so if you as a new user ever have any questions outside of the welcome chat times, you can start a room using the plus icon on the bottom of your screen and invite them into your room to ask any questions you may have, along with the rest of the VoiceHER team.

On Monday at 8:30 am, Lili Öst held a session called, How do you increase your energy? with 5 hot tips on how to increase your energy! Lilli Öst is an artist, speaker, and life coach within NLP. This session was the perfect thing early on a Monday morning to get more energy.

Deep breathing has shown to slow the heartbeat, lower or stabilize blood pressure, and lower stress. On Monday at 5pm, Sara Tiala hosted a Deep Breathing event. Sara Tiala is a yoga teacher and loves to share her passion about the body and how it works. In this workshop Sara gave an intro to your lungs, how to breathe deeply, and how we can allow our lungs to work as intended. This event is extremely important for those who experience anxiety, high blood pressure, and more. One of the most essential deep breathing benefits is a healthier heart rate, which directly contributes to lower blood pressure. No matter how you decide to do it, deep breathing can not only keep your entire cardiovascular system strong and healthy, but it also has the power to help you feel more relaxed in every way. Sara is experienced in deep breathing, so if you ever need to take a second to breathe, Sara is in the app to help you. Sara Tiala also held a meditation event on Tuesday at 9pm, where we joined her for an evening meditation to wind down from the day and transition into a slower pace and calmer mind. After a long day at work, or with studies, or whatever your day holds, an evening meditation with Sara is the perfect way to wind down and get ready for a calm and peaceful evening.

On Tuesday at 12pm, Catarina Bertling had a Live Podcast in the app. Catarinas conversation was about success and entrepreneurship, and her journey into becoming a strong woman within the life of entrepreneurship. Catarina answered the questions, what is success and what does it mean for you? And are there differences and special challenges for female and male entrepreneurship? The VoiceHER community is all about empowering women, and breaking down the stereotype that males are more powerful than females, especially in the work space. Not only is this our number one belief, but we believe that our users share the same values. Catarina spoke through own experience, yet many women can relate to her on some level. Catarina said, “My goal is to inspire more than one million women.”. Catarinas podcast definitely inspired a lot of women in her podcast on Tuesday.

Therese Elisabeth Halme had a Live Podcast on Wednesday at 11am. She had an extremely interesting conversation where she discussed her personal journey about how her midwife sparked an incredible power within her. How she now lets that power come to life and what it is like to dare to remain in it. Elisabeth was a natural speaker, she spoke as though you knew her and she made everyone in the room feel comfortable. It is so important when hosting these events to discuss in a way that makes women feel as though they can relate, and feel less alone. Elisabeth was an amazing speaker and we hope to see her again soon to hear more about her journey.

Sara Tiala held another event on Thursday at 8pm called Sister Circle. This event was a natural discussion to allow other women to come into the event and be themselves, and have a safe and open conversation about whatever is on their minds. May is mental health awareness month, and even though we are coming to the end of May, we believe in highlighting and bringing awareness for mental health every month. The number one aim of the VoiceHER app is to bring women together to discuss whatever they have on their minds, and for them to feel less alone. Saras room was a safe space to talk about the weight you may have on your shoulders.

Last but certainly not least, on Friday we had our weekly ADHD discussion at 12pm. This event is usually hosted by Sanna and Emelie, however this Friday Supee joined as a host as well. Last Friday’s ADHD discussion went so incredibly well, and this Friday was no different. The girls continued to discuss ADHD and finding recognition, learning from each other, and they talked about everything in between. The ADHD event is one of our best and most popular sessions. Even if you do not have ADHD, it is extremely interesting and heartwarming to listen in on these discussions.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has opened a room, held an event, and had a live podcast this week! It has been an exciting week and we cannot wait for another week full of more events and live podcasts. If you have not already, don’t forget to download the VoiceHER app available in the App Store and Google Play, we look forward to seeing you there. The VoiceHER team wishes you all a wonderful weekend! ❤
