Week 18

Last week was full of interesting sessions, and this week has been just as equally exciting! We have had a variety of events that have connected with us, and you users in many different ways. Some of these events include mental health, EFT tapping, personal branding, how to make friends as an adult, and so on. In these VoiceHER updates we’ll be sharing the events we’ve had, along with any new features or exciting news. However, to get the real experience and all the information from our events, it is best to go in and listen whenever you have time!

On May 3 at 4:00 pm, Alex Alejandro, a skin care enthusiast, a soon to be mother, an amazing spirit, and so much more, held a fun session where she discussed, How to make friends as an adult. It can be difficult to find new friends as an adult, whether you have moved to a new city, or looking to expand your inner circle; but VoiceHER is all about opening new friendships and sharing advice. Alex said in her events, “The fantastic thing about this app is that we are all over the world. To be able to share and know that someone else is out there who has gone through the same thing as me.” Alex has had an event on this topic before, and loved the energy and connections so much so she decided to host another event to keep the discussion going, and to share her wisdom on how to connect with people as an adult!

This is an extremely important month, it is mental health awareness month. We at VoiceHER really want to encourage our users to make themselves the number one priority, and to realize the importance of mental health. On May 4 at 7:00 pm, Sara Tiala held an event where she discussed mental health, she held a safe space for people to open up and discuss what’s on their minds. This event was for those who needed to be heard and to feel less alone. Sara has a heart of gold and is more than happy to share advice, and listen.

Some of you might have heard of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping, and some of you might not have heard of it. Sanna Dahlin has held events on May 5, 8:30 am and 7:00pm, and May 7 at 8:30 am where you can join her for meditation and affirmations. Tapping is a technique where you tap certain points on your face, body, and hands to calm down the nervous system, and restore balance to your body’s energy. Sanna answers all of your questions in the EFT tapping sessions.

On May 5 at 6:00 pm, Callan Swaim and Elin Mendola discussed personal branding. This event allowed our listeners to discover how to build your own personal brand and how to promote yourself. Callan and Elin talked about confidence and self awareness, along with how to overcome imposter syndrome. This duo has held events in the app before, and each discussion is as meaningful and interesting as the last! If you ever want to discover how to build your own personal brand, then the events with Callan and Elin is the perfect place to start.

As mentioned before, this month is mental health awareness month, and every Friday at 12:00 Emelie hosts an event where she discusses ADHD. This Friday Emelie discussed ADHD and relationships, and how those with the diagnosis can get others to better understand them. These sessions are always extremely heartfelt and intriguing, they are open to anyone, people with ADHD who want to share their stories, and those without ADHD who want to learn more about the diagnosis and want any questions they have answered.

The VoiceHER community is so thankful for everyone who has participated this week, and we are excited for another week where our live podcast sessions will start — you don’t want to miss that! Download the VoiceHER app available in the App Store and Google Play so you never miss a session, we look forward to seeing you in VoiceHER ❤
